Verse 1
God's so good, he hears our cry.
He knows our needs before we sigh.
He takes our load, and gives us hope
because he loves us so.
Chorus
Let God be good to you.
It's what he loves to do.
It fills his heart with joy to treat his children well.
Let God be good to you.
It's what he loves to do.
Because a father loves his child.
Verse 2
When we pray both night and day,
He's always there to share our cares.
and give advice if we but ask
because he loves us so.
Chorus
Let God be good to you.
It's what he loves to do.
It fills his heart with joy to treat his children well.
Let God be good to you.
It's what he loves to do.
Because a father loves his child.
Verse 3
Some sweet day he'll take us home.
We'll find rewards for what we've done,
and sing his praise through endless days
because he loves us so.
Chorus
Let God be good to you.
It's what he loves to do.
It fills his heart with joy to treat his children well.
Let God be good to you.
It's what he loves to do.
Because a father loves his child.
Because a father loves his child.
